Our Family Secret: Gold Cookies

My mom's secret for great cookies was to make these 2 recipes together. We made these cookies whenever we also made the Coconut Kiss Cookies so that we could use the egg yolks not used. You might have yolks left over from making something & this recipe uses them.

If you are watching your cholesterol you might want to just throw the yolks away instead of making these cookies.

They are very rich tasting as you might expect. Sort of a richer tasting Snickerdoodle cookie. They are spectacular with vanilla ice cream. They freeze very well also.

In my humble opinion, these 2 recipes make cookies that are far richer tasting than most cookie recipes that call for whole eggs. They don't taste simple or frugal at all, yet that's what they are.
